Established in 1984, Exact Abacus has long been at the forefront of delivering end to end multi channel solutions for businesses within the Mail Order industry. Starting life providing IT based solutions to the embryonic UK mail order industry, today we are a specialist eCommerce and Back Office solutions provider, a Microsoft Partner with Gold Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Competency and one of the largest specialist software houses in the UK, employing over 70 highly skilled and motivated professionals.

Working in close partnership with our clients we have consistently been ‘first to market’ with leading-edge software products and services.  

Our latest product, 3ex.net (back office and ecommerce platform), is the result of over seven years of development, by a team of around 15 designers and developers. Developed entirely in house at our UK base, 3ex.net is, without doubt, the most comprehensive, flexible and scalable solution on the market, so you can be confident that, wherever your business may take you, you will never need to find another IT Partner.

Since 2001, we have been providing Stock and Contact Centre Fulfilment Services for our clients, from our headquarters in Preston. Our call centre handles telephone orders and customer enquiries on a full time, part time or overspill basis from 8am - 8pm 7 days a week, 363 days a year. Our warehouse handles everything from goods receipt to dispatch and even customer returns.

Uniquely, our fulfilment operations are run for each of our clients on their own 3ex.net systems. This means that our fulfilment clients can see at any time exactly how many orders are being managed, exactly what deliveries have been received and exactly what stock they have remaining etc.  

We use our own software to ensure that we can offer the highest level of service to our clients and to their customers. No other solutions provider can offer these services and that is why no other solution provider knows mail order and ecommerce as well as Exact Abacus Ltd.

Who's Using Our Software?

We have solutions for any businesses who buy and sell products, either Business to Business or Business to Consumer. We have developed a range of packaged solutions (Base, Lite and Pro) which encompass best practices for all areas of a direct selling business. There are no up-front license costs and these solutions can often be implemented with little or no development or training, meaning that they are a realistic and viable proposition for any small to medium size business.

Custom systems built to date include a solution for a 250 client fulfilment centre processing upwards of 50,000 transactions per day, an online purchasing portal for a well known and well respected charity and a complete end to end multi channel, ecommerce, EPOS and mail order solution for a large online and store based retailer.
