3EX.NET Customer Relationship Management software has been developed to meet the needs of companies who trade with both consumer and business clients. Address structure and validation is critical to effective delivery and marketing response, yet many systems are unable to handle the variety of different scenarios typically found in an ecommerce environment:

  • Business-to-Consumer - the simplest form of address, however the consumer may have multiple alternative delivery addresses.
  • Business-to-Business - your customer is the business or institution, but your relationship is with the contact or multiple contacts.
  • Multi level - you may trade with clients with 'parent-child' addresses e.g. a University would have multiple sites, faculties, buildings and contacts.

UK addresses are validated against the Royal Mail PAF within 3EX.NET and each country may be setup with distinct postal rules to control search parameters and ensure a high level of data quality e.g. US addresses must have a minimum of two characters in the State field.

Addresses and Contacts may be further profiled using the 3EX.NET Related Data engine. This is generally used to hold marketing data such as Recency, Frequency and Value or preference data such as Order Shipping Default Flag.

Contact names are automatically formatted for data quality management purposes and definable title and department fields are used to relate each record to the appropriate personnel and automated commuincations sent from 3EX.NET such as order confirmations, statements, and stock alerts.
