Back To Back Purchasing

A Back to Back item is a product which is kept at a minimum stock holding. Where Stock is Required to fulfil a customer order, regardless of source (i.e. Mail Order, Telephone Order, eCommerce Order), the system will automatically raise a Purchase Order in order to replenish the stock sold.

As an order hits the 3EX.NET system, the system will automatically find any products on the order which are considered to be "Back to Back" products. Depending on the current stock level, the system will automatically produce a Back to Back Purchase Order. As orders are placed throughout the day, the Back to Back Purchase Order will automatically be updated. At the end of each day purchase orders will have automatically been raised for all items sold, which were considered to be a Back to Back item.

The Back to Back Purchase Order can then be amended manually where required before being sent to the supplier. Stock receipted for Back to Back Purchase Orders will be handled in the same way as a manual purchase order.
