Exact Abacus’ digital arm, EAOM, have been commissioned to develop an updated website for Derby based pharmacists Manor Pharmacy. An original Exact Abacus build, the website now seen as being dated and in need of a boost. The design and functionality of the website will principally be a white label version of the Vet-Medic website that launched in November, with a few added bits of functionality. It is hoped that website should be launching in Q1 2012.
Manor Pharmacy is the trading name of W R Evans (Chemist Limited), an East Midlands based company, which has been established over 50 years and has in excess of 70 stores throughout the Midlands, all of which are conveniently located no more than 60 minutes away from the head office in Ilkeston.
Several of the bricks and mortar operations are in purpose built premises within or adjacent to medical practices. Others are located in local and main shopping areas. Subsequently the company is able to offer a wide range of services to other health professionals locally, in addition to those services readily available to the public at large, which is something that the company are keen to translate to the online model.
In addition, the creative brief for the project highlights the necessity for a simple eCommerce website with simple usability and navigation.
