Exact Abacus has recently launched a new eCommerce website for Derby based online Veterinary Product retailer Vet Medic.
Vet-Medic is an online pharmacy for pet owners providing advice and prescription treatments for animals. the company hails from a strong pharmaceutical background, being part of WR Evans Group of Companies, which also includes Manor Pharmacy, a UK network of pharmacists. With over 11,000 products listed on the website, Vet-Medic differentiate themselves from other online veterinarian companies by providing FREE advice from their resident veterinary surgeon and also from many of their certified veterinary pharmacists.
Following on from Vet Medics previous success with the implementation of the 3ex back office platform, Exact have integrated the 3ex.net eCommerce software, ensuring that no data will be lost or duplicated. Vet-Medic have also benefited from the already integrated customer relationship management software (CRM) within the 3ex.net system whilst the upgrade will also allow them greater control over their financial software, supply chain management, warehouse management and stock control solutions, all of which are built in to the 3ex.net system.
The brief for the new website design was to develop a simple eCommerce website with easy usage and navigation. In addition, Vet-Medic requested the additional functionality to provide advice against individual products and to provide a prescription based web service for animals. All of the design elements have been managed by Exact's digital arm, EAOM, whilst the back office software has been developed by parent company Exact Abacus. EAOM will be working with the WR Evans Group again in the coming months to develop the new Manor Pharmacy eCommerce Website.
