Suttons Seeds is an internationally renowned supplier of flower and vegetable seeds, young plants, bulbs, fruit bushes and other horticultural products to amateur gardeners. Founded in 1806, it is fair to say that Suttons has built a reputation for quality and service that is second to none. Today Suttons is part of the international company Vilmorin who are the largest packet seed distributors in the world.
Exact Abacus’s work with Suttons began with the development of a new eCommerce website for their Business to Consumer (B2C) online offering, Ferndale Lodge. Exact were commissioned to design and develop a new eCommerce website using the 3ex software, which would include the integrated software for Suttons back office and warehouse management systems. The 3ex back office software consisted of stock control, customer relationship management, order processing and demand forecasting software.
Following a successful launch of the Ferndale Lodge website and back office solution, Suttons commissioned Exact Abacus for two further eCommerce websites, the main Suttons site along with sub brand Dobbies. All three websites are currently run from the same platform via Exact Abacus’ white label website software.
The Exact Abacus 3ex eCommerce White Labelling allows Suttons to manage all website content, products, stocks, sales and enquiries through the same back office software, thus reducing administration time for the business considerably.
