Stock Replenishment

3ex.net Stock Control software enables you to intelligently move and position items across your warehouse, retail stores and 3rd party locations. By gearing stock to demand and sales velocity, the software generates significant efficiencies and cost savings whilst increasing the speed at which you are able to pick, pack and dispatch goods to your customer.

When dealing with larger stock holdings, it is often necessary to keep large reserves of stock in 'Bulk' or 'Overspill' areas of your warehouse. Where this is the case it can often be difficult to know what stock is needed to be moved from your overspill area to your picking face and when. The Stock Replenishment system within 3ex.net, will intelligently prompt you to move your stock as and when it is needed.

Alternatively, if you have a number of different warehouses or perhaps shops, the replenishment system can be configured to automatically advise you which stock needs to be replenished between which stores. You can even configure the Replenishment system to suggest stock be replenished depending on demand. This can be a particularly useful way of preventing your pickers from trying pick stock from inaccessible locations. For example, if you have an order on the system and an item on the order is in stock, but is currently on a high pallet location, then the system can be configured to prevent the picking note being printed for the order. Instead, the system will suggest that the item or items are replenished to the Picking Face. Once all items on the order can be picked from accessible locations, the system will automatically release the order and print the picking note. Brilliant! Stock replenishments may be managed using traditional paper instructions or on the Mobile 3ex.net application. The 'Work in Progress' functionality provides full visibility of stock as it is transitioned from one location to another.

3ex.net Stock Control software for stock replenishment supports the following:

  • Manual Replenishment - at any point a user may raise a replenishment instruction by product and product group
  • Reactive Replenishment - using static stock influencers such as re-order, batch, minimum and maximum levels, the system can recommend suggested replenishments of stock from bulk locations into pick locations.
  • Proactive Replenishment - the intelligent stock management system
  • Bin Optimisation engine is able to refer to either run-rate sales or forecasts to predict demand for stock and suggests how this should be located within the warehouse to ensure optimum pick efficiency
