Goods In, Stock Receipt and Put Away

The Goods In and Put Away Functionality of the Stock Control module ensures stock can be quickly receipted, reconciled with the original purchase order and put away with minimum effort, ensuring your Goods In area operates with maximum accuracy. 

The receipting process is centred around a 'Put Away Job' whereby receipt of the stock is confirmed and once counted, 3EX.NET runs through a series of algorithms to calculate where the items should be located. Once this process has been completed the 'job' is assign to a mobile device or a ticket is printed and assigned to a warehouse operative. As the items are scanned into locations (item and location scan) the system updates both free and physical stock positions in real-time. The recommended put away location can be overridden by the operative subject to security permissions setup within the adminstration module. Once a job is complete the transaction is processed into a Goods Receipted processing stage from where it is reconciled against the suppliers invoice and posted to the Purchase Ledger.

Stock Receipt Reconciliation and Mobile 3EX.NET

The Pocket 3EX.NET module can be used extensively within the Stock Receipting Process to ensure stock accuracy and efficiency of Put Away. For example, where required items can be scanned, alonng with their quantities, as they are taken from a container or delivery van. Once all items for a delivery have been checked, the system knows exactly what has been received and by which supplier the delivery was shipped. This means that the system can now undertake the process of reconciling the stock which has been receipted against Purchase Orders currently on the system for the specific supplier. This process will automatically highlight any Over or Under Deliveries, enabling your purchasing team to make quick decisions with regards to the delivery which has been received.

Ad-Hoc Goods In Put Away

Alternatively, in a less rigid warehousing environment, the Pocket 3EX.NET system can be used to spefically tell the system where each item is going to go, as the item is being put away. For example, as stock is received the system will put the stock into a Quarantine location. The user will then be able to scan an item and decide whereabouts they would like to put it. The PDA will tell the user the products normal picking location, along with information such as; Currency Quantity in Stock, On Sales Order Figures, Maximum Quantities etc. Alternatively, the user can use this application to place a number of different items on to a pallet and then book all of those items on to a bulk location.
