A whooping £810 MILLION spent on Black Friday in 2014, with an estimated £1 BILLION to be spent on Black Friday 2015, the countdown is well and truly on till November 27th when the once mild mannered shopper goes slightly crazy and will do anything to get their hands on some absolute criminal deals.
Since crossing over the pond from the U.S, with Amazon one of the first brands back in 2010 to bring Black Friday deals to the UK’s shoppers, hundreds of shops and on-line retailers have jumped on the bandwagon trying to take a piece of the Black Friday pie.

• 180 million visits to on-line retailers websites
• Smartphone traffic up from 57% from 2013
With this year set to be the BIGGEST Black Friday on record, there is set to be some major competition from some of the largest on-line retailers including the likes of Argos, John Lewis and Tesco’s set to rival the dominance of Amazon.
From offering mega savings on anything from electricals to home furnishings and beauty products retailers will be do everything in their power to entice the customers and get those checkouts ringing and those on-line shopping baskets full!
It’s that one day in the year that shoppers can grab a massive bargain before the festive period BUT make sure you keep an eye out for early releases on offers at least 2 weeks before the main event, after all there is nothing better than being one step ahead.
The countdown has already started for many retailers including Debenhams who are charging ahead in building the anticipation for shoppers.
Argos has already spear headed the anticipation for shoppers in the run up the BIG event with Red, White and Blue Friday offering deals on the 3 Fridays in the run up till November 27th cleverly building the excitement with the #JustCantWait.
From websites crashing, to shoppers battling each other in the shops, to the extent of the police having to intervene and that much dreaded late delivery, we hope that the curse of Black Friday 2014 doesn’t strike again this year!
